What is the New Ford Bronco Towing Capacity?

The short and skinny answer to this question is that the new Ford Bronco towing capacity reaches an impressive 3,500 pounds – plenty enough to take care of the needs of most weekend warriors and light-duty equipment haulers in the area. That’s not all the Bronco brings to the table, though. Keep reading to learn more!

Ford Bronco Engine Specs

Made possible by two different engine options, the new Ford Bronco towing capacity is already impressing drivers from and beyond! If you’re going with the Bronco, and not the Bronco Sport model, you can expect the 3,500-pound towing capacity we mentioned earlier, but some other power variables can change depending on the engine you select. For your reference, we’ve highlighted those differences below:

2.3L EcoBoost® Engine:

  • 270 hp
  • 310 lb-ft of torque
  • 7-speed manual transmission
  • 10-speed automatic transmission

2.7L EcoBoost® Engine:

  • 310 hp
  • 400 lb-ft of torque
  • 10-speed automatic transmission

Ford Bronco Sport Towing Capacity

Although it may not sport as hearty of a towing capacity, we still want to make mention of the new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The Sport, like many models before it that share this moniker, is a smaller framed version of the Bronco but still manages to squeeze out some decent specs out of the available 1.5 and 2.0 liter engines:

1.5L EcoBoost® Engine:

  • towing capacity of 2,000 pounds

2.0L EcoBoost® Engine:

  • towing capacity of 2,200 pounds

Of course, all the towing capacity in the world doesn’t mean much without the clever engineering and robust features available to assist with towing. Tow with confidence knowing you have the following specs and accessories on your side:
